Scio was part of the pilot and original team that made the first Safeway rollout projects of self checkouts. We worked with general contractors to clear out old stands, electricians to provide power while we set up the new checkout lanes. We were very lucky to receive these customers and a market that was first to deploy in a area accessible to us. We had worked with Safeway in the past many times at site and headquarters. This kiosk install was something that would quickly become a trend.

Thats right, before the first kiosk was deployed in the country California DMV headquarters in Sacramento. There we would work with the fabricator of the ATM shell, the DMV Tech Ops. The first machines were deployed at Sacramento DMV's then implemented around the county following state deployment.
